Treatment of soft soil foundation by powder jet pile method


Powder jet pile method, with special equipment, the reinforcing binder powder materials (cement or lime) through transmission of compressed air, and mix with soil, to produce physical and chemical reactions after full forming a certain strength pile. This method is a kind of soft soil foundation reinforcement method for improving soil quality and foundation strength. It can be widely applied to foundation reinforcement such as soft soil, sludge, miscellaneous fill and soft clay.

Powder jet pile is a deep mixing method in soft foundation treatment, which is using compressed air to transport lime and cement and other powder material in soft soil, in situ mixing, compaction, exchange, coagulation. Through a series of physical and chemical functions, such as ion exchange, agglomeration and chemical interaction between reinforcing material and soft soil, forms a column reinforced soil with integrity, water stability and a certain strength, and make up a composite foundation with in-situ soft soil layer, improve the bearing capacity of soft soil foundation, reduce the settlement of foundation.
