Development of soil remediation market in China
From the development of the industry, since 2009, the growth rate of environmental protection industry has been significantly accelerated. In 2015, more than 100 national soil remediation projects were established. A series of soil remediation technologies, such as soil leaching, in-situ heating and microbial chemical reduction, have been applied in the remediation project of soil and groundwater.
Data show that in 2015 the total land transfer income is 3 trillion and 250 billion, 60% is due to land acquisition and demolition costs, land net income only accounted for 1/3 of the total income, according to the scale of calculation, equivalent to an annual investment of 100 billion yuan. We expect that by 2020, the amount of soil remediation proceeds from land transfer will be around 640 billion yuan. In addition, according to the announcement of the central budget in 2016, the special budget of soil pollution prevention and control reached 9 billion 100 million yuan, 1.5 times as much as in 2015. Because the current 51% of the soil remediation fund comes from the government investment, we believe that the input of land transfer income and the financial budget can effectively solve the problem of insufficient investment in the current soil pollution control.
