Swamp sludge solidification and reuse

The sludge itself contains most of the ash and a part of volatile components, and a small part of the fixed carbon. Therefore, when the moisture content of sludge is less than 60%, the heat value of the drying base can reach 833kcal/kg self-sustaining combustion. When the moisture content drops to 20%, the calorific value is 2283kcal/kg, which can be used as an alternative fuel for combustion. However, the moisture content of sludge after dewatering usually exceeds 80%, which can not be burned.

The sludge produced by the sewage treatment plant is about 80% of the moisture content after dewatering, which can cause harm:
1.Sludge landfill will occupy a large amount of land, aggravating the contradiction.
2.The content of bacterial pathogens in sludge is high, and contains a certain amount of copper, zinc, chromium, lead, mercury, cadmium and other heavy metals, if not effectively deal with the direct application or disposal, may increase the risk of pollution of agriculture, forestry, and the pollution of surface water, groundwater, heavy metals may enter the food chain through enrichment effect;
3.Landfill sludge can easily clog the leachate drainage pipe of landfill, which may lead to landfill swamping in rainy days, leading to landfill scrapped in advance;
4.The sludge is easy to bread a large number of mosquitoes and infectious disease;
5.The moisture content of sludge is about 80%, the cost of transportation and direct incineration is high.

Therefore, the treatment of sludge should be based on the principle of reducing pollution and reducing treatment cost.
